For nearly fifteen years, I've worked with energy companies, startups, and research organizations to craft digital tools that address a range of challenges, from energy efficiency and corporate sustainability to chronic disease management.
I've led design at every stage of product development—from strategy and research to design, implementation, and feature optimization.
Some of the companies I've been lucky to work with:
I established and mentored a team of designers and researchers who were responsible for shaping the user experience for a corporate sustainability platform that helps businesses understand resource consumption and achieve carbon reduction goals.
I led all aspects of product design and UI development for a mobile health coaching startup, focusing on creating tools to enhance outcomes for behavioral interventions in chronic conditions like diabetes and heart disease.
Since 2012, I've worked on a variety of design and development projects, such as a smart-meter management system for Aclara, energy consumption visualizations for Sense, and a gamified energy efficiency program for Stanford Energy.
I completed my master's degree in digital media at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), where I focused on data visualization, behavior-change technologies, and generative illustration. My master's thesis was included in the 2008 MoMA exhibition, Design and The Elastic Mind.
After ITP, I spent two additional years doing post-graduate research at Microsoft Research and ITP.
